Shirley & Philip Golden Wedding Party | Wyboston Lakes Golf Club, Bedfordshire | Lincoln Photographer

I was asked to photograph the story of Shirley & Philip’s Golden Wedding celebrations.

All the guests started to arrive at Wyboston Lakes Golf Club which was a fantastic time for photographs – the look of happiness and surprise on Shirley & Philip’s faces made my job a lot easier! A warm & sunny day meant that everyone could go in to the gardens and enjoy catching up with old friends and family members.

Most of my day was spent capturing everyone enjoying themselves without asking them to smile or pose – that would have ruined the great moments that were going on all around me. As a photographer, my aim is to always tell the story that is unfolding in front of me, in a way that my clients will love.

After an hour or so, everyone sat down to a lovely meal and some very funny and moving speeches. Flowers were presented by the grand-children and the cake was cut.

I photograph a lot of weddings, and it is just brilliant when you are asked to photograph the wedding couple 50 years on!

A very happy day, and I’m sure it’s one that Shirley, Philip and their friends and family will never forget!
